"If you set a goal for yourself and are able to achieve it, you have won your race. Your goal can be to come in first, to improve your performance, or just finish the race. It's up to you." - Dave Scott, triathlete
My goal for tomorrow is to just get out there.
I was really beating myself up bad because the entire month of August felt like I was blowing running off. I realized tonight I wasn't. I don't have a set schedule because I don't have a set routine. Everyday is different, school, volleyball, xcountry, dance, church, horses then running. I'm not used to all this and running gets put in slots of the day that may or may not happen. I'm still in the juggling mode not everyday is the same. For example about running on Mon., & Wen. and starting Sat. running early in the morning isn't going to be happening, I need to find a different time. Fri. I can do it either way in the evening or morning and on Tue. and Thur. I can do it in the morning. I may take Sun. off as a day of rest and make it Monday or something?
All running goals are put on hold and I'm just trying to get out there. Anyways, it was reassuring to me that I still like running and I'm not blowing it off...whew...my fear was popping up again about being a quitter.
Didn't Run
Sometimes just getting out there can be hard, but I'm sure you will get it done. The important thing is that you want to, and if you happen to miss it one day, there will always be another day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess, I went out today but didn't like it so I'm gonna try again later (hopefully)!! :-)
