"If anyone competes as an athlete he does not receive the victors crown unless he competes according to the rules." - 2 Timothy 2:5
Ok, so today was the best thing I have seen in all of 2010!!! Kailah did awesome!! She ran at the Berry Clara Bowl 5K.....She came in at 29:07 and that was coming off an hip injury and not really getting to run good in practice. But here is the deal, last year she came in around 44-45 minutes. She has come a very long way! Anyways, she gave it all she had and there was alot of prayer concerning her running and lets just say, there were some tears of joy coming across the finish line but she went neck and neck with this guy and she won by one second!! It was intense and everyone was cheering ~ it was Awesome!! She has worked and worked for this all year. She ran when it was snowing, pouring rain, mud, sweating hot, in pain and in thunder/lightning (which was dumb) so this was a big deal for her and I'm her biggest fan!! That being said, Crown uses this scripture for their motto and I just love how they represent Christ, what a neat way they have influenced Kailah showing her she is better than she thinks she is. Coach Brummel is her coach but God has surrounded her with runners that have taken her under their wing and encouraged her and she is shining!!
Didn't Run ~ Cheerleading!!
That is amazing! Great job Kailah! Congrats to her cheerleader as well!
